Ice Cream & Music
I love that there is a ice cream truck in the bar. What a great concept!!! Thank you for making my trip home enjoyable!! – Max C.
I had heard there was a little dessert corner inside Wit’s End....
I had heard there was a little dessert corner inside Wit’s End, but I thought, how in the heck could that be? Metal and ice cream?
…because, metal. Obviously.
Oh, and the fact that it looks like a food truck just brutally crashed a wall open like Kool-Aid man. Instead of red sugary cups of liquid madness, Devious Desserts hands you a Chinese to-go box of ice cream in flavors that Blue Bell can’t even touch. Yeah I said it.
I was at the metal fest and it was hot as parched testicles up in the bar. The flashing neon signs also attracted me like a round eyed hairless puppy. I really wanted to try the lychee sorbet, but a bright post-it note with “Bread Pudding Special” caught my eye.
After Pat Baby’s credit card swipe (thanks boo), and his order of basic vanilla (okay, Tahitian Vanilla, I can relate), I found myself hanging outside by Elm St. with a takeout box protecting soft bread pudding hidden under a brilliant round ball of ice cream and nuts. It was blanketed in some kind of smooth buttercream sauce, or amaretto? Hell, the Deviant Baker told me what it was comprised of, but all I heard was my sweet tooth coming out of its socket in excitement.
Nice to know there is another place to get desserts here. I was starting to get tired of donuts. — Sharde A.
